We, at Atlanta Pillars of Faith, are a Seventh-day Adventist Christian community with a vibrant fellowship and a loving, working congregation. Our goal is to witness for Christ in our community, fulfill the great commission, and equip members for ministry and spiritual growth.
Indeed, through trials, tribulations and unforeseen circumstances, the Lord has brought us a mighty long way!
Sabbath, August 25, 2012, was our first worship service at 1912 Panola Road in Lithonia, GA. Through the providence of God, brotherly love of Pastor and Sister Holborough, and the members of New Life Ministries, we rented that property for our church services.
In April 2013, was our first community health expo with Bro. Chef Clinel Walker.
In April 2014, we hosted our first Spring Evangelistic Series with Pastor Samuel Bulgin resulting in 10 souls surrendering to Jesus Christ through baptism and 21 by profession of faith.
The week of March 9 – 15, 2015 was our first health emphasis series by Elder Dwayne Lemon, followed by a cooking class. These events preceded our Spring Evangelistic series by Pastor Samuel Bulgin.
In October 2015, under the guidance of the Georgia Cumberland Conference administration and notably, Dr. Neil Reid and Kurt Allen, Battleground Mission was officially accepted into the conference and renamed Pillars of Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church.
On December 19, 2015, we had our Inauguration Service under the theme ‘United in Christ – The True Pillar.’
From March 19 – April 2, 2016, we conducted our Spring revival series with Pastor Ron Williams as the evangelist. This resulted in seven souls being baptized and re-dedicating their lives to the Lord.
To further strengthen the family bond, from September 17 – October 8, 2016, the Hope for Healthy Family and Relationships evangelistic meetings were conducted by Dr. Neil Reid.
In August 2016, through the providence of God, the Georgia Cumberland Conference and the able leadership of our beloved Pastor Dr. Samuel Bulgin, we were able to purchase our current church building, a house, and the 15 acres on which they sit.
On 2018, Atlanta Pillars of Faith SDA Church, formerly named Battle Ground Mission, was officially named a church under Georgia Cumberland Conference.
In September 2022 we celebrated our 10th anniversary, and we look forward to continue making the next years “A Legacy of Faith”.
We would be delighted to have you join our family for Sabbath School, divine worship, Bible study, Adventist Youth Ministry (AYM), prayer meeting, and any of our various children’s and mother’s programs so please consider visiting us. We do have a mother’s room that is available for use for those nursing or with little ones. Do not hesitate to contact us if needed.
It is our prayer as we continue on this journey and serve in this part of the vineyard so that we will always lift up the name of our Lord and Savior and souls will be saved for the kingdom.
